I conduct Mindfulness Meditation groups for graduate therapy students via Zoom. Since 2016, I have led groups for George Fox University graduate therapy students who are required to take Group Theory and Therapy Course upon graduation. 

Due to my background in therapy, I help my participants understand the importance of a daily meditation practice for themselves and for their clients. The knowledge that the students learn from my groups enhances their skills as future therapists and as participants in their own life. Students have walked away from the groups stating they are able to manage anxiety and stress much easier than before and are able to find joy and peace throughout their day. They are more present with their family members and are able to sit in the therapy room with a calming presence and confidence in their abilities. I teach that mindfulness meditation is a practice of sharpening one’s focus, learning how to calm the chatter of the mind, and be fully present and attuned to each moment and person in their life—not only in the therapy room. I teach that the continuous practice of sitting and going quiet is a gateway to the unknown—the unknown where all desired possibilities can be created.
