Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation with Self-Love & Compassion

Participants are guided through a 2 hour experience filled with relaxing and loving energy. They are instructed to lay down on their backs with arms and legs extended, eyes closed and ready to receive the guidance. Those that experience this workshop will be led through several guided meditations and learn the vast benefits of the practices. Quotes and poems will be read from spiritual teachers and well-known meditators that help the participants understand the relationship between meditation, self-love and compassion.

 

What You Will Receive From The Workshop

To start the workshop, participants are guided through a sound bath meditation where they listen with their whole body to the sound of the 7 quartz crystal singing bowls. Each bowl aligns with the 7 main energy centers of the body known as chakras. The sound of the singing bowls gives off a frequency that balances each of the energy centers of the body. Participants are then guided through a calming body scan meditation. This specific meditation helps members relax and let go of unwanted tension stored in the body by bringing them into a tranquil state. The numerous benefits of a regular mindfulness meditation practice and what it does to the body and mind are discussed followed by a detailed instruction on how to do the practice. Participants learn about the connection between meditation and compassionate living and are then guided through a visualization exercise to represent the relationship between the two. The attendees get a personal explanation of how the practice of meditation has saved Chelsea Brielle from a life filled with suffering. To end the workshop, the meditation practice known as Metta (Loving-Kindness) is discussed and participants are guided through the practice itself. This specific meditation cultivates compassion and love for oneself and for the rest of humanity. 

 

Participants walk away feeling relaxed, calm and rejuvenated. Leaving the workshop with the knowledge and experience of how a regular sitting practice can help with every form of suffering--emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual. This workshop not only brings stress-relief, but the awareness of how powerful and life transforming this practice can be for an individual that decides to sit down and meditate. Those that suffer emotional and mental issues and any form of addiction can find relief in the practice itself. The practice helps the individual return back to their breath, gain the ability to choose instead of react, and have the capability to appreciate the present moments of life. 

Attendees are encouraged to lay down on their backs for the workshop and bring an eye mask if they want to deepen their experienceFor those that have crystals or stones, they are encouraged to bring their items and place them near their mat or seat to have the quartz crystal singing bowls cleanse/recharge their crystals/stones.

Chelsea Brielle leads workshops to therapy sites, yoga studios, in-home visits and other businesses.

*$100/hr Travel rate is applied if traveling for workshop.
